Nowadays, the "Three Summers" busy season has arrived, and many farmers are preparing to save wheat seeds for the next planting season. Ensuring the purity and quality of these seeds is crucial for a successful harvest. But how can farmers achieve this? What should they pay attention to during harvesting, drying, and storage?
First, it's essential to carefully clean the fields that will be used for seed retention. From the heading stage to full maturity, farmers must repeatedly inspect the crop and remove any weeds or diseased plants. All unwanted plants, including those with diseases, should be completely uprooted and taken out of the field. Special attention should be given to weeds like bromegrass and oat grass, as they can severely affect seed quality.
Harvesting should be done at the right time—ideally from the late milk stage to full ripeness. Mechanical harvesting is recommended for seed fields. To avoid mixing with other people's seeds, it's best to start with a small portion of the field, store it separately first, and then proceed with the rest. This helps prevent contamination and ensures the seeds remain pure.
After harvesting, proper drying is critical. The wheat should be lifted and spread out in the sun. Choose a sunny day, clean the drying area thoroughly, and spread the seeds evenly. Sun exposure should last about 3 days, with frequent turning every hour to ensure even drying. By around 6 p.m., the seeds should be collected and stored in a dry place.
Different wheat varieties should be kept separate during drying to avoid cross-contamination. For storage, several methods can be used, such as using grain bins, meal storage, or woven bags. When storing in containers, cover the seeds with about 20 cm of dry ash mixed with rice husks and seal the container tightly. Alternatively, nylon woven bags can be used. These should be placed in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from walls, to protect against pests, moisture, and rodents.
By following these steps, farmers can significantly improve the quality and viability of their wheat seeds, ensuring better yields in the future.
Innovative Fin Flood Barrier 2023 Debut
Denilco second generation sole patented flood fin barrier
Our finbarrier's advantages over NOAQ is:
1. The featured more scientific Arched front face design offers 20% to 30% more anti-flood ability.
2. The concave-convex side face brings better sealing and stability.
3. Back side's removable structure and support bars could prevent barrier from moving under heavy wave
and wind and provide more anti-flood support.
4. World's first style of flood barrier that can be used in uneven areas such as sand&stone&soil&lawn, etc
5. Spring lock structure is more convenient to install and more stable
6. Much bigger waterproof strips and anti-slip strips than NOAQ's.

Q&A:
What is the yellow part ?
We call the yellow part Fin, Fin can be connected through velcro stickers, there is
a counterweigh structure in front of the fin.
What is the material of yellow part and how long it could be used under sunshine?
The fin is made of a kind of patented chemical fiber composite material which could be
used 3 to 5 years under constant sunshine according to our lots of tests under both high
and low temperature.
What is the function of Fin?
The main function of Fin is to prevent water leakage and creates a even layer when there
is uneven ground. And of course Fin could also be used in even grounds.
