Why are tomatoes not colored

At this stage, light, temperature, and moisture levels are all optimal for tomato growth. However, poor fruit coloration often stems from an imbalance in fertilization. To address this, it's important to check the soil's pH level using pH test paper. If the pH is above 6.5, especially if it exceeds 7, the soil is likely deficient in essential micronutrients. To correct this, you can apply specific micronutrient fertilizers per acre: 1 to 1.5 kg of borax, 2.5 to 3 kg of zinc sulfate, 3 to 3.5 kg of ferrous sulfate, 2.5 to 3 kg of manganese sulfate, and 5 kg of magnesium sulfate. This method should be used only once a year. In addition to soil application, foliar sprays containing trace elements like boron, zinc, iron, manganese, and magnesium can be highly effective. For foliar feeding, mix 25 to 35 grams of a micronutrient solution with 15 liters of water and spray every 5 to 7 days. If using borax or boric acid separately, ensure the dilution ratio is between 3000 to 6000 times. It’s best to spray in the late afternoon on a sunny day, focusing on the underside of the leaves to maximize absorption. Keep the leaves as moist as possible to enhance nutrient uptake. In some cases, you can combine the spray with insecticides or fungicides to control pests and diseases simultaneously. This approach not only improves fruit quality but also supports overall plant health. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when mixing products to avoid any adverse effects on the plants. Regular monitoring and timely intervention are key to achieving better yields and vibrant tomato colors.
