Winter and spring sprouting feed is effective for livestock and poultry

In winter and early spring, there is a lack of green feed, lack of light, and shortage of vitamin sources for livestock and poultry. The lack of vitamins is not only not conducive to the performance of livestock and poultry production performance, but also will cause the metabolism of livestock and poultry body dysfunction, decreased resistance to disease. In order to prevent livestock and poultry from lacking vitamins in winter and spring, they should actively plant overwinter pastures and add multivitamin additives to their diets. The most convenient and effective method is to make sprouted feeds.
1. Nutritional characteristics of sprouted feed. During the germination of cereal seeds, part of the starch is converted to maltose, and the protein is also broken down into easily digestible soluble amides. At the same time, the levels of carotene, vitamin B2, and vitamin E are greatly increased. According to the measurement, 1 kg of barley malt contained 28 mg of carotene, 250 mg of vitamin B, and 17 mg of niacin. The germination process has greatly improved the nutritional composition of cereal seeds and increased the nutritional value.
2. Method of making sprouted feed. Raw materials can be selected from barley, rice, corn and other seeds, and barley is more commonly used. First, the raw materials were screened, mixed, and rinsed in warm water to remove sediment, pods, and worm-eaten grains. After drying, they were soaked in warm water of 25-35°C for 24 hours until the grains were fully expanded and then removed. Flat on the size of the container can be filtered or on the sack, the thickness of 3 ~ 4cm is appropriate, covered with cotton or sacks, to maintain the necessary temperature and humidity. Then, the container is placed in a well-lit and warm room to germinate. The room temperature is required to be maintained at 20-25° C., and every day and night is sprayed with warm water of about 30° C. for 4-6 times, while slightly turning to ensure uniform germination inside and outside. After 2 to 3 days, when the seeds germinate, remove the cover. Every morning and evening, each of them is rinsed with clean warm water. When the buds turn green 5 to 7 days, they can be used for feeding.
3. The use of germination feed. Germinating feeds can be used at the right time depending on the purpose of feeding and the eating habits of livestock and poultry. Under normal circumstances, with the main purpose of supplementing vitamin B and improving feed palatability, shoots can be removed to feed 2 to 3 cm; if the main purpose is to supplement carotene, the buds should be grown to 8 to 10 cm. Can be removed for feeding. It has been proved that the adult female animal feeds 150-250g of germination feed per head per day, which has the effect of promoting estrus, abortion, and increasing the amount of lactation. Feeding a male broiler about 200g per head per day can enhance their libido, improve semen quality and improve breeding fetuses. Rate: young animals feed 30-40g per head per day, piglets 10-20g, chicks 2-3g, can promote its growth and development, improve resistance to disease and survival rate; feeding layers of 15 ~ 20g per day, can Improve egg production rate, fertilization rate and hatching rate of eggs; feeding rabbits, each 10 to 30g per day, can improve breeding ability of male rabbits, promote estrus in female rabbits, and is conducive to the growth and development of pregnant rabbits and fetuses and young rabbits; Supplementing diseased and weak livestock and poultry can be an ideal nursery supplement. When feeding, according to the habits of different livestock and poultry, the germination feed may be cut into small pieces as appropriate, and chopped or beaten into the diet, allowing them to freely feed.
