Bagasse successfully converts biofuels

Syngenta announced on November 22, 2007 that the company had signed a research cooperation agreement in Australia to develop economically effective bagasse conversion biofuel technology such as the use of plant expression enzymes.

Syngenta’s research partners include the Queensland University of Technology, the Technology Transformation and Marketization Company of the Queensland University of Technology “Blue Bean” and the Australian Agricultural Biotechnology Company Bio-Industry Law Mokole Bio-Industry Co., Ltd. ( FarmaculeBioIndustries). Syngenta will establish the Syngenta Centre for Sugarcane Biofuel Development at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.
