Anti-mold detoxification method for feed

When purchasing feed ingredients, samples should be tested for moisture, toxins, and nutrients. Screening for broken and moldy kernels and impurities should ensure that the grains are full of a certain degree of luster. Special attention should be paid to raw materials that have normal appearance but have been contaminated by mold. . Strictly control the storage conditions of feed ingredients: The optimum temperature for general mold growth is 20-37°C; but some molds are more suitable for temperatures around 15°C, and their suitable relative humidity is 80%-90%. Shorten the storage period, if necessary, can add a certain amount of anti-mold agent, but the anti-mould agent is a chemical synthetic material, there are certain side effects, such as carcinogenic, teratogenic and residual toxicity, thus limiting its use.

In theory, there are many ways to detoxify mycotoxin from feed, but it is difficult to find a more practical method to completely eliminate mycotoxins in production.

(1) Physical detoxification. Remove moldy or damaged kernels, remove grains or germs containing more toxins, wash with water, or dry, irradiate, heat, etc. to reduce toxin levels or toxicity. Some of these methods may kill some mold, but the toxin produced by mold on difficult to eliminate. Mycotoxins can also be used adsorbent material to reduce the absorption of toxins in the gut of the animal, but the adsorbent does not adsorb a variety of toxins, and often also adsorb some of the feed nutrients, reducing the nutritional value of feed.

(2) chemical detoxification. Some mycotoxins can be degraded and destroyed by some chemical drugs. For example, mildewed grains are usually washed with alkaline water, and some aflatoxins can be degraded with ammonia. However, different chemicals are often effective only for certain toxins but not for other toxins. degradation. Chemically detoxified by chemical substances have a high residual problem in the feed, which in turn produces a new hazardous effect.

(3) biological detoxification. There are mainly enzymatic hydrolysis and microbial fermentation methods. These methods also have only a certain effect on certain toxins, and the enzymes are not heat-resistant. They are easily deactivated during the processing of feed, and the role of microbial fermentation is slow. The use of biological detoxification method has high cost and unstable effect, so it is difficult to promote the application in the production practice.

(4) Other detoxification methods. Prebiotics are added to the feed to maintain the balance of the intestinal flora, enhance the body's immune system to reduce the harm of toxins, but also to add antioxidants, sulfur amino acids, vitamins and trace elements in feed to reduce the harmful effects of mycotoxins, They are not specific to toxins.
