Feeding management of piglets before and after weaning

In pig production, in order to obtain higher economic benefits, it is necessary to grasp the feeding and management of piglets before and after weaning.
1. Increase sow feed intake In order to increase the feed intake of lactating sows, feed restriction should be properly implemented in the first trimester, and the daily feed amount is 1.8 to 2 kg. However, by the end of pregnancy, the amount of feeding should be appropriately increased, and the daily feeding amount can be gradually increased to 2.5 to 3 kg. In order to maximize the feed intake of sows, it is necessary to increase the feed nutrient concentration and appropriately reduce bran consumption. The second is to add appropriate amount of oil in the diet. The advantage of adding oil is to ensure that the sow has sufficient energy intake and shortens the estrus interval after weaning. Third, we must control the temperature of the environment and do summer heatstroke protection and winter warmth work. Fourth, we must pay attention to preventing the occurrence of diseases such as birth canal infection and mastitis after sows deliveries.
2. Piglet newborn treatment Piglets should be cleaned immediately after birth, body mucus, eat enough colostrum, do a good job of cold and warm work. Around 4 days of age, 2 ml of "iron selenium" must be injected per head to prevent anemia. Second, we must grasp the early feeding training of piglets. In general, starting from the 7th day, start from the feeding of sucrose, orotic acid, zinc oxide, premix, corn, and soybean meal, to promote the development of gastrointestinal function and to reduce the nutritional stress after weaning. Third, in order to do a good job in epidemic prevention, four piglets should be injected per head; at the age of 4 weeks weaning, the second swine fever vaccine should be immunized with 2 piglets per anaesthetic; 2 injections per head; 5 weeks A single injection of Streptococcus was done at the age of 2 pigs per head, and when piglets were transferred in groups of 30 kg, they were injected with a single vaccine for pigs with 2 pigs per head.
3. Early weaning (21 to 28 days) and feed preparation When 21 to 28 days old piglets weigh more than 5 kg, early weaning can be adopted. Pre- and post-weaning diets can be prepared with whey, citric acid, and zinc oxide plus cardamom, corn, and premix.
4. Prevention of diarrhea in piglets.
Piglet diarrhea is often caused by various factors such as intestinal microflora, feeding environment, feed, and temperature difference between day and night. Once diarrhea occurs in piglets, it can be treated by intraperitoneal injection. Generally in the abdominal cavity on both sides of the umbilicus about 1 cm per pig injected with 5% glucose saline 50 ~ 100 ml, plus 80,000 units of gentamicin, or add Haida 50 mg, or 0.2 g of butyl amine card, daily 1 to 2 times.
