Straw Micro Storage Procedure

Breeding of bacteria

Straw fermentation live dried bacteria 3 grams per bag, can handle wheat straw, rice straw, corn dry straw 1 ton or green straw 2 tons. Prior to the treatment of straw, the bacteria was first poured into 200 ml of water to fully dissolve. Large dairy farms can use the water of the milk barrels, which can increase the rejuvenation rate of bacteria and ensure the quality of micro-feeds. Then place it at room temperature for 1 hour to 2 hours to regenerate the bacteria. The rejuvenated fungicide must be used up on the same day and it must not be used overnight.

Preparation of bacterial liquid

Pour the revived bacteria into a well-dissolved 0.8% to 1.0% salt solution and mix well.

Straw preparation (chopped)

Straw used for micro-storage must be cut short with a guillotine, sheep use 3 cm to 5 cm, cows with 5 cm to 8 cm. In this way, it is easy to compact and increase the utilization rate of the micro-cell and ensure the quality of micro-feed production.

Preparation of micro storage facilities

Micro-storage available cement pool, crypt, plastic bags can also be used. The cement pool is a rectangular pool made of cement, yellow sand, and bricks as raw materials, and is preferably built into two identical sizes for alternate use. The advantage of this pool is that it is not easy to enter the water, sealing, durable, high success rate. The advantages of crypts are low cost, simple method, and large storage. The size of cement pools and crypts is designed and built according to the requirements. Shop 20 cm to 25 cm of straw first, evenly spray the bacteria solution. After compaction, lay 20 cm to 25 cm of straw again. Spray the bacteria solution and compact it until it is 40 cm higher than the pit. The purpose of stratified compaction is to quickly remove the air remaining in the straw gaps and create anaerobic conditions for the fermentation of the bacteria species. If the filling cellar on the day is not full, it can be covered with a plastic film, and the water content of straw after micro-storage is required to reach 60% to 65%. Since these straws have a very low moisture content, it is necessary to supplement the bacteria-containing water. A spray device consisting of a water tank, a water pump, a water pipe and a spray head is required. The volume of the water tank is suitable for 1000 liters to 2000 liters. The submersible pump is the best choice for the water pump. Family cattle and sheep can be sprayed directly with a watering can. Green corn stalk micro-storage because of its high moisture content (usually about 70%), micro-reservation does not need to add too much water, as long as the configuration of a good agent solution evenly sprayed on the storage material, available small back Or rod sprayer spraying.

Add nutrients

In micro-storage of wheat straw or straw, 0.5% corn flour, bran and barley flour can be added according to specific conditions. The purpose of this is to provide certain nutrients for the propagation of strains in the early stages of fermentation to improve the quality of the micro-reservoir. When adding wheat flour, corn flour or bran, spread a layer of straw and sprinkle a layer of powder, and then spray the bacteria solution once.

Storage moisture control and inspection

Whether or not the moisture content of the micro-preservation feed is appropriate is one of the important conditions for determining the quality of the micro-preservation feed. Therefore, in the process of spraying and compaction, it is necessary to check whether the moisture content of the straw is appropriate at all times and whether it is uniform everywhere. In particular, attention should be paid to the convergence of moisture between the layers, and no dry layer should appear. The moisture content is checked and controlled in the same way as the silage preparation method. Microbial feed moisture control is optimal at 60% to 65%.

Cellar

When the straw is layered and compacted to a height of 40 cm above the cellar, sprinkle the salt powder on the top layer evenly, and then cover with a plastic film after compaction. The amount of salt used is 250 grams per square meter. Its purpose is to ensure that mildew deterioration does not occur in the upper part of the micro-feeds. After covering with a plastic film, put 20 cm to 30 cm thick straw on the top, cover the soil 15 cm to 20 cm, and seal. The purpose of the seal is to isolate the contact between the air and the straw, and to ensure that the micro-reservoir is anaerobic.

Dig a drain

After the straw micro-storage, the feed in the pits will slowly sink. The soil shall be timely covered to make it higher than the ground, and a drainage ditch shall be dug around to prevent the infiltration of rainwater.

Open cellar

When opening the cellar, start from one end of the cellar, first remove the part of the soil layer and the grass layer covered on the top, then lift the film and remove it vertically from top to bottom. After each withdrawal, the cellar should be sealed with a plastic film to avoid contact with air to prevent secondary fermentation and deterioration. Micro-feeds are best crushed with high-humidity stalk kneaders before feeding to produce finer crumbs to further improve the digestive efficiency of the livestock.

The key to the success or failure of straw micro-storage lies in compaction, sealing, and the size of the micro-reserve facility depending on the number of livestock kept. Compaction is an important part of the success or failure of the relationship. If the seal is not good, the upper part of the micro-storage straw will be rotten and deteriorated, resulting in waste. The size of the cellar is used to make a cellar micro-feed and livestock can be eaten within 1 month to 2 months. If cattle and sheep are kept for a long time, two or three microcells can be used alternately. After opening the pit, it is used up on time.
